Caboose update

Progress on many fronts.
I have finally finished stripping and sanding the ceiling.
The first bench is progressing as seen. The vertical painted boards are recycled from our remodel awhile back. They are 1X4 T&G redwood that had been wainscoting.
The plumbing for the air brakes is proceeding nicely with lines to both ends and ready to hook into the brake cylinder.

All the steps are done. Today they got a coat of special zinc primer. Since it's going to rain in a couple of days, we should find any spots we missed. Gray paint on sandblasted metal makes it hard to see missed spots.

A Natural break from remodeling

The contractor was out for about an hour for some small details to have the cabinets ready for the granite tops. I came out shortly after to check the new windows shades to make sure they fit right. The contractor yelled "Hey look across the street!" Fortunately I had my camera available. This is at full zoom, it was probably 50 ft away. It was beautiful. He/she acted normal and appeared to be looking for gophers who have been VERY active since the rain stopped.

Still waiting to hear from the painter.
