Storm Pics

We went to the Sonoma Coast Saturday morning to watch the high surf at near high tide. Waves were predicted up to 30 ft high. Although the worst of the storm had passed, there were still high winds and rain. The second picture is Salmon Creek beach which is gone for the short term. Normally we don't see cresting waves from the house, but we could see two sets at a time and some of them were scary big.
We found the top of the spark arrestor from our chimney laying on the ground, so I had to cover the chimney with plastic for now. Several trees were down in the neighborhood and power was out until Saturday evening.

  1. Wow that looks so pretty. For someone living in a place surrounded by water, I definitely don't look at it often enough.
