It's 3 am, do you know where your car is?

Ours is still out front, but has had a rowdy visitor shortly after 2am (when the bars close)

Amazingly we slept through this, but neighbors who heard it and saw a fleeing white vehicle woke us up and called the police. No perp so far. GOOD MORNING!

  1. Thank heaven for uninsured motorist coverage. They'll even pay the deductible. Thank heaven also that they took out your car and not a human or animal victim.

  2. Good news, bad news. I DO have uninsured motorist coverage, but they only pay the deductible if they can find the car and it's owner. We were also lucky in that normally the Prius is parked there. Probably would have been totaled. Say, does you spouse have an alibi for 2am this morning? Do you have a white car with new damage?

  3. He does drive a white car. It has so much damage you'd be hard pressed to identify any new dings or scrapes. He was snoring at 2am, as I and the cat can attest. I don't mind lying, if they promise to take him away and not charge me any money. I am on first name terms with Bob, my insurance agent. I'm sure he puts on his hard hat whenever our number shows up on caller ID. I only have good things to say about Bob and Farmers. They've stuck with us for 25 years. Did I write about the one with the rental car impaled on a tree stump?

  5. The ignorance of drunks never ceases to amaze me. After 30 years of nursing, I don't know why this is so. Living close to the bars in a downtown area is one of the reasons we chose not to buy in the last neighborhood we chose to live. We don't miss the drunks when the bars close.

So glad it's only broken glass and twisted metal that you're dealing with here.
